[22 Apr 2011] JKS at Changi airport

Having had no experience in chasing stars at airports, I thought I was late when I reached Changi airport at 10.15am, but it turned out I was way too early and no one else was there. Apparently Singapore is different from China.

Then I met up with friend SY, we had time to get lunch too. A couple of hours prior to JKS’ arrival time, Changi airport staff had already set up metal barricades such that it formed a path to the exit, so we knew we were at the right spot, and we took up different strategic positions behind the barricades in order to get videos with different view.

Then Rongling joined me (the first time we met up ^^ ). I noticed a white car outside the exit, and thought that it would be JKS’ transport, which turned out to be right. Rongling and I took turns to go out and take photos of the white, long limousine, and joked that his car was so obvious that it would be visible to spot on the road. After that, it was back to waiting again.

Jang Keun Suk’s flight landed at 2.20 pm.

[Note] Delay of video post

Hi gals,

I hate to go back on my word, but have to apologise for the delay of that subtitled Chinese entertainment news video due to a technical error.

I spent 3 hours last night trying to figure out why the video came out black-and-white in VirtualDub.
Previewed the input video which is fine in colour, but when I “Preview filtered” and “Preview output video”, it’s black-and-white.
Got to delay this …. 🙁
If anyone can help, thanks in advance!!

[Personal] FM preparation

Some friends may recall that I bought a camera in Feb this year in preparation for the FM ^^
The second thing I did was to customize an A3-sized lightboard so that I can blind JKS with it for two hours at the FM, literally so because it is very very bright. I tried it yesterday at night and it illuminated my dark room. Now I know I can use it as back-up for a black-out … lol…

The next thing I did was to go and customize this.

[For fun] What happened to JKS’ bangle at 15th GCMA?

Okay, this is really funny.
JKS lost an earring at the Beijing FM 2010 and he has lost his bangle at 15th GCMA.
He was too high and swinging his arm during “Gotta Get Cha” performance, so his bangle flew out, and this Chinese eel must have combed through the video clip second-by-second to solve the mystery of the missing bangle and cut out the exact moment it was lost…. what an amazing detective eel here! …. LOL

Two learning points:

(1) We should all keep an eye out for flying accessories at JKS’ LH performances…. who knows we can pick them up!

or

(2) JKS should bring along more back-up accessories!

[Notice] Change of server & possible down-time

Dear friends,

As always, the bad news come with the good.

Bad News

My blog has to move to another server again, barely 2 months after my last move. Necessary because I’m uploading too many pics = = and am about to run out of space on this server, and another server in Singapore is offering much more space.

As a result of some domain DNS change needing about 2 days to fully take effect, what this means to you is that when you try to access my blog in the next 2 days, you may be directed to my old server, where there will be NO other updates after this notice.

If you see current updates, that means you have come to the new server. 🙂

I hope everything will be settled by Friday 15 April, because that’s when I will try to upload my recording of JKS attending the 15th Global Chinese Music Awards.

[Just for fun] JKS well-suited to act role of vampire?

The resemblance of JKS’ pose in a magazine picture to a scene and character Kaname Kuran from manga anime “Vampire Knight” has been pointed out, leading some eels to comment that JKS is actually quite well-suited to play the role of a vampire, whether be it in “Twilight” or “Vampire Knight”.

Only having been forced by my sister to sit through a “Twilight” movie (without any background, it took me half the movie to figure out who the male lead is), I do agree that JKS will look great as a dashing and charismatic vampire, and I think the most common line he would hear from females is “Bite me!”

[Current affairs] Japan’s earthquake 11 Mar 2011

I am sorry that my concern has come rather late, and following various news stories, the situation in Japan is rather severe. The extent of the damage is unbelievable – death, injuries, the destruction of homes…. The people in Japan are fighting to survive the aftermath of such a serious earthquake and tsunamis, and our thoughts and prayers are with them. Various governments are ready to extend their aid, and so are many of the ordinary people.

Ibaraki, where “You’re my Pet” press conference was held just a week ago on 3 March, and Sendai, which is one of JKS Japan Tour venues, are also affected by this disaster….

[Personal] FM preparation part 1

Finally, I got a camera!

JKS is not the only person busy with all his projects and upcoming FMs; us fans are pretty busy too. Hours of drama to watch, websites to scour for JKS news, lots of things to buy ….

For a start, I have been on the lookout for a better camera for months, and JKS’ scheduled arrival in Singapore in April galvanised me into action. I realised that yesterday was the first day of the (quarterly or half-yearly) IT fair, where there may be worthwhile deals on cameras. Friday to Sunday (last day of the fair) would see very big crowds, so I decided on impulse to go buy a camera yesterday.

Being a fussy customer who wants to get as much as possible for less money, here are my requirements:

After a super depressing Monday waiting 13 hours only to find out that I did not manage to get the pass to Jang Keun Suk’s autograph session in Singapore on 22 April, I really need something to cheer myself up, and (unfortunately for JKS), the solution is … his dance videos ~ haha~

These are not very recent videos, maybe taken last year or earlier, but these are what give me the impression that either he cannot dance very well, or he needs to find a better choreographer. I always laugh like mad when I watch these 3 videos. I am definitely worried if he needs to dance in “You’re my Pet”….

Dear friends,

We’re into day one at the new website address of Jang Keun Suk Forever blog, and welcome!

It was a necessary change to alleviate my blood pressure that was climbing alarmingly high as a result of not being able to update or access my own blog when apparently, most other people could. In the rare moments when my blog page managed to load, a lot of functions still timed out on me. It was extremely frustrating, and I realize that I cannot live without my JKS blog for even a day (gosh, I’m super addicted to JKS…)

I had to ask my IT professional brother-in-law to trouble-shoot the problem, and almost fainted at his answer.
