Jang Keun Suk may be dubbed as the ‘Most Influential Korean Star in Asia’ or known as the Korean artiste with a Japanese single and electronic music album under his belt, but what he really wants to be recognized for is his acting.

And if this Drama Major in Hanyang University ever had to choose between these activities, acting would still take precedence as it is both his “dream and my life”.

[22 Apr 2011] JKS at Changi airport

Having had no experience in chasing stars at airports, I thought I was late when I reached Changi airport at 10.15am, but it turned out I was way too early and no one else was there. Apparently Singapore is different from China.

Then I met up with friend SY, we had time to get lunch too. A couple of hours prior to JKS’ arrival time, Changi airport staff had already set up metal barricades such that it formed a path to the exit, so we knew we were at the right spot, and we took up different strategic positions behind the barricades in order to get videos with different view.

Then Rongling joined me (the first time we met up ^^ ). I noticed a white car outside the exit, and thought that it would be JKS’ transport, which turned out to be right. Rongling and I took turns to go out and take photos of the white, long limousine, and joked that his car was so obvious that it would be visible to spot on the road. After that, it was back to waiting again.

Jang Keun Suk’s flight landed at 2.20 pm.

[20 April 2011] JKS – dinner with Ole winners

For the 20 Ole lucky winners who won a free trip to Korea and dinner with Jang Keun Suk, their dream was realized today. I recall it wasn’t easy to win too, with the option of buying lots of sweet wrappers to attach to lucky draw entries or buy lots of sweets and accumulate points. Even heard that a girl spent over thousands of dollars in order to accumulate points ….

The winners were treated to a tour of Tree-J company in the morning, and even got to see Sunni! Unfortunately, JKS had a cold and was resting at home. (Hope he recovers soon!)

Dinner today must be a really sweet affair. The restaurant was personally selected by JKS. He attended the dinner wearing a white T-shirt and denim jacket, with his hair let down. One of the prizes for the winners was a heart and key necklace and the keys are kept by JKS to symbolize that the hearts of his eels are locked to his and only he has the key (awww….so sweet ^^ ). He even put the necklace on for each girl!

[Whereabouts] JKS’ possible flight to Singapore

Just want to add that I don’t think he’s arriving in Singapore tonight. Tonight, JKS has dinner with a group of fans (they won the Ole lucky draw prize for a free trip to Korea and dinner with JKS), and looking at the flight schedule, I don’t think JKS will be able to make it on any flight.

[Whereabouts] JKS at Shanghai shopping street

In such a rush to post this that I didn’t have time to note the individual uploaders from Sina, but very grateful to them anyway.

Before JKS departed for the airport, he spent about 10 minutes walking along a shopping street in Shanghai, and a group of eels accompanied him, taking pics from as close as 1 metre from JKS and feeling extremely blissful. The eels just walked alongside him quietly and did not scream etc.

[16 Apr 2011] Informal news of HS Media contract-signing press conference

What does one do at a contract-signing press conference?
Pending official news reports, pics below are purely a loose interpretation of the event for fun, and in no sequential order ^^

JKS plans to release a Chinese album and definitely a press conference in China for that, and he is considering the possibility of setting up a Chinese official website (erm, I guess paid membership as well) and a Sina account (China’s version of Twitter).

Once again, JKS’ display of humour is, well, really funny.
He said he signed a one-year contract with HS Media, and not a hundred-year marriage contract with Jason (他说自己是一年合同不是和杰森百年好合). Despite the teasing, JKS trusts Jason Jang very much as he said that there is nothing that Jason cannot do. JKS said that having gained much experience from his Asia Tour last year, his Tour this year will have more selling points. He may invite Hee-chul and Hong-ki, though he said their rates are quite expensive, but his rate is more expensive than them. When asked to show off the Chinese phrases he knows, JKS said in Chinese “all eels are his wives”, “I love you” and “I am hungry”. The emcee asked JKS how to draw eyeliner, and he really answered that!

The emcee has done her homework and she is knowledgeable about JKS and his eels. She also asked JKS whether he knew the reason why Chinese eels nicknamed him “抽抽”.

JKS departing from Chengdu

The majority of eels at Shanghai Pudong airport waited on the ground floor, but JKS made his exit on the 2nd floor (express clearance without luggage). There was quite a rush as many eels dashed to the 2nd floor, and soon JKS was surrounded by fans and could not move. Some eels asked JKS for autographs and he obliged.

The general conclusion from those at the airport is, JKS is very handsome!
