Note: This message is from a Monk. Many Chinese eels know him from weibo. He is an eel too. He likes JKS, he has been to JKS’s cri show in Shanghai in 2012 and visited Korea with some JKS related places. As many fans of JKS, he doesn’t know JKS personally, but I believe JKS would be proud and happy to know he has an monk eel who respect and like him so much. He likes say some praying and wise messages for JKS sometimes on weibo. This was posted today on his weibo account. I feel is very touching and inspiring. Weibo is like twitter used in China.
Many people on weibo are curious about why I like JKS so much. It caused a variety of questioning, speculation, slander, and defamation, even some of my Buddhism students have left me because they couldn’t understand my adoration to JKS. Until today, I wasn’t shaken by these views that do not understand me. I want to tell eels qingu: to appreciate a person who worth your appreciation, no need any reason. If you love JKS, please respect all the people who love him.

Jan 09 2013, there was Korean culture event in Turkey, a Korean Parliamentary came to Turkey to meet Turkish who are interested in Korean Culture. Korean ambassador, Korean culture envoy and Korean culture undersecretary were there. They were asking questions to Turkish about which star they like and what Korean stuff they would like to see in Turkey.
The following report are from our ECI member Mirine Miri about the detail of the meeting:
I told them that we want to see JKS in Turkey and also want to see his dramas on Turkish TV etc…I also told them that we would like to have a Korean TV Channel like KBS Arab or KBS WORLD. He promised me to ask this with KBS. And The Culture Director took a note. (We hope that they will show like “Love Rain” and other JKS dramas on Turkish TV) And the parliamentary told us that he will bring Korean stars to Turkey. After that we showed IHT with JKS ad to Him. The Korean Undersecretary told the parliament. that it ‘s a famous popular newspaper and Turkisheels gave the initial idea for it. He was surprised and said: “wow, let’s take a photo of it.” :)) So we took this photo..And Korean reporters took our photos too..

This is another international eels’ project to show our support to Jang Keun Suk. It’s a bit earlier New Year’s greetings from eels all over the world. But we want to let him know our promise before his 20th anniversary ends. And we also want to let him know international eels will also watch Hunan TV’s new year countdown party and promise him go to 2013 together!

An international eels’ project that involves 23 fanclubs worldwide to celebrate Jang Keun Suk’s 20th debut anniversary has finally come to fruition in the form of an advertisement in the prestigious “International Herald Tribune (Global Edition The New York Times)” on 22 Dec 2012.

As some might have already known the fact, JKS’ two of three guaridan angels (Tree-J staff), MIN and cherry, changed their settings of Twitter a while ago. Now only their followers can read their tweets. That means they don’t want to tweet openly any more. We’re not sure what happened to them, but the fact is they don’t want to allow everyone to access and read their tweets any more.
I found an eel asked cherry if it’s ok to translate their tweets and share on the internet. She didn’t answer the question directly, but said somethig like as follows: “It might be sad not to be translated (It sounds she has personally appreciated such translations.), but still I can’t stop changing the privacy settings. And I refuse the application to be my followers. If you don’t like, please unfollow me. I’m sorry friends, but I love you…”
We appreciate their continuous supports to Jang Keun Suk, and just want to respect their wishes. That’s why we stop sharing MIN and cherry’s tweets as long as they change their settings to open access. Sorry eels, but please understand the situation. Thank you.
Here I’m going to share my thoughts and some translations of his book. I hope this will be a small clue to know what Jang Keun Suk was feeling during his trip in Berlin and Paris, and what he is feeling now. At least for me, I was comforted after reading this book personally. And thanks to this, I have a feeling that I understand him more than before. That’s why I don’t worry a lot about him now. I’m sure he knows how to stop and restart now.

A year has passed and every single day in ECI has brought tears and laughter, joys and heartaches, angers and fears that all of us have shared that made us all pillars for each other.

I have a 5 year old son who loves Jang Keun Suk’s music. He likes rock songs so “Let Me Cry” “Gotta Getcha” “Shake It” are his favorite from JANG KEUN SUK’s songs.

11 August 2012. 7.30pm. Jang Keun Suk Cri Show II at Mercedes-Benz Arena. Thankfully for Tong Yi Orange Juice Enterprise, which has the exclusive privilege of sponsoring the Cri Show II, I have a chance to be able to attend the concert as one of the staff. It was very honorable to be able to experience Jang Keun Suk’s amazing charm.
Prior to endorsing Tong Yi Orange Juice, I have no knowledge of Jang Keun Suk’s news. Eventually, I came to understand his sincerity, cuteness, frankness, outgoing and confidence personality. Today in the concert, I see a Jang Keun Suk who is positive, hardworking, full of character and fought his way up, step by step, ambitiously.
1. Knowing Jang Keun Suk
1. Advertisement shoots – He is a cheeky boy.
Although I am not so lucky to be able to work with Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young for the advertisement shoots, many other staff involved shared their experiences. Let me summarise as such:
He is a very amiable artist who does not have the usual “artiste’s airs”. During the shooting, he was very professional. He did not get into a fit even if it required him to work overtime till late night due to unforeseen circumstances. In fact, he insisted in completing the shots to perfection. His cheekiness and frankness filled the air and everyone around him felt comfortable and happy. He is such a big boy. From the photographs taken, he was rich in his expressions. In fact, I had overheard the manager “sigh” while he was selecting the photographs for the event. Jang Keun Suk was too expressive. He did not know exactly which one to choose as all of them were filled with his rich expression. On the contrary, Park Min Young’s demureness might seem to be a little reserved (Well, she did many cute shots too!). And because of these differences, Jang Keun Suk’s expression seems “exaggerated”, especially placing him beside Park Min Young. Thank goodness for the quantity of photographs taken, there were enough prints to be used.
2. Tong Yi Press Conference – His powerful hugs
Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young were present at the press conference in Beijing for their endorsement of the product as well as the official listing. We arranged and organised some fans who were able to interact with the two artistes on stage.
Two very lucky fans were selected by Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young respectively. In this segment, they were invited to the stage to be with their idols in close proximity. The two fans shed tears of excitement when this unexpected lady luck befell upon them.
In the next segment, there were two very special fans – a 53 years old Aunty and a 12 years old, youngest fan (This 12 years old fans burned midnight oil to write a very long, touching letter expressing her love for Park Min Young. She begged us not to disqualify her eligibility to join in the contest because of her age. The letter touched us tremendously and she participated the event with a guardian). The presence of the two fans showed the level of popularity of Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young.
“您好”! (Hi!) Jang Keun Suk greeted the two fans in his newly acquired Mandarin and he gave them a tight hug. You can tell his sincerity and passion as he hugged them with strength. Throughout the interactions, the two artistes were humble. The audiences who went to the event were immersed in the constant laughter and sincere greetings of the two artistes. Comparing the two, Park Min Young appeared to be more reserved. She was relatively more polite in giving the hugs to the fans comparing to Jang Keun Suk’s warm hugs. At the end of the event, they took photographs together and our prince was very cooperative too.
