#WelcomebackJKS "Our new journey started on May 29th, 2020"
Just a reminder for those considering going that the official pre-order will end this Friday at 12 noon (China time), which means that whichever pre-order mode you choose, your payment must reach the other party before the deadline.
For details, please refer to this post.
In response to a query, I am planning to go to Shanghai Cri Show (with Chicken Little), and in fact after days of anxiety and frustration over bank transfer issues, I’ve decided to pre-order through KeunSukChina and today transferred the payment in US dollars to KSC via Paypal, which turns out to be the easiest method. You can google on Paypal and find out how to register and use it. Paypal needs verification from your credit card company though, a process that may take 1 to 2 days though my memory may prove wrong (please call your credit card company to find out). Then there is a transfer fee charged by Paypal, not to mention the currency conversion charged to your card.
The good news for those who want to pre-order Shanghai Cri Show ticket is, you can place your order with KSC even if you are not their forum member. However, KSC informs that
Taipei Cri Show’s official ticket purchase starts from 21 May 2011 at 12 noon (Taipei time), and within 45 minutes, almost all tickets were sold out! In comparison, JKS’ fan-meeting in Taipei last year had its tickets sold out within 24 hours.
As expected, the same ticketing website that hanged last year hanged this year too. A handful of fans were able to purchase tickets via the website, but the majority of fans could not and faced multiple issues such as page not able to load, service not available etc. Two big issues that surfaced are that when fans selected the seats online and proceeded to payment page, they were not able to complete the transaction because although they had selected the seats already, the ticketing system does not hold these seats as “reserved” and other people especially those at the physical counter, could buy away these tickets. The other issue is that reportedly, the ticketing website company is using an old ticketing system based on Windows 98, and hanging is a common problem online as well as at the physical counter.

All these are purely my guess from the source website, so my guess may not be entirely accurate. Jang Keun Suk will be attending the J Plus Photo-book Exhibition press conference held on 28 June 2011, and it seems that he may be previewing the exhibition. Seems like there is a lucky draw where 100 winners will win a pair of tickets each to the press conference.
To commemorate the release of Jang Keun Suk’s first official photo-book, a photo-book exhibition entitled “Jang Keun Suk’s Exhibition – Another J Plus” will be held.

Increasingly popular in Japan, Korean actor-cum-singer Jang Keun Suk’s first official shop in Japan will open from 3 June to 27 June 2011 in Shibuya, Japan, at Parco1 level 7 at a designated area with 180 square metres.
At this official shop, not only can fans buy the usual JKS merchandise, they also have a chance to buy limited items. In order to fulfil fans’ wishes, the venue will also display photo-books and videos previously undisclosed, as well as JKS’ personal items. Staff are still working on how best to showcase the limited items at the venue and say that fans can even buy JKS’ personal items.
JKS says that he is very happy to open his first, exclusive merchandise store in Japan. “Hope that everyone can take this chance to get to know me better. I hope to come to Japan soon to meet everyone.”
Japan TBS is going to make their reproduction of “You are Beautiful”. The role of Hwang Tae-kyung will be played by Tamamori Yuta of Kis-My-Ft2 (top right-hand corner).
The other actors in the cast are 泷本美织 (Go Mi-nam), 藤ヶ谷太辅,HSJ的八乙女光, 片濑那奈 and 高岛政伸. Apologies for the current lack of their names in English.
Jang Keun Suk has passed this message to TBS on the re-make:
Go Woo Ri, member of youth girls’ group Rainbow, challenges her acting skill for the first time.
In “You’re my Pet” which has started filming in mid-May, Go Woo Ri acts as Jang Keun Suk’s ex-girlfriend Lee Min-shan. After ending activities related to Rainbow’s 《To Me》at the end of May, Go Woo Ri will join the filming. Although her character in the movie only has a few scenes, the character is important to the story development.

Jang Keun Suk’s charm invades Japan – Jap media compliments his multi-sided charm
13 May 2011 – Korean star Jang Keun Suk’s debut single “Let me cry” topped the Oricon weekly sales chart upon its release, making JKS the only overseas artiste to achieve this feat in history. The splendid results from his first entry onto the Japanese music scene has served to increase his reputation accumulated from “You are Beautiful” (YAB), as well as made the Korean media look at JKS in a new light and start to analyze the reasons for the “Jang Keun Suk” effect in Japan.
Japan Fuji TV’s star programme “Hey! Hey! Hey!” had an interview with JKS and to increase viewership, the interview was spread out over 2 weeks. Their afternoon drama slot is currently airing YAB for the third time, becoming the overseas drama with the most number of repeat broadcasts. TBS will air “Marry me Mary” from 20 May, another drama starring JKS. A strong competitor to Fuji and TBS, Japan TV is not lagging behind – “Sukkiri”, its morning general news programme, aired a special 19-minute feature “New Hallyu IKEMAN Jang Keun Suk” on 12 May, analyzing the reasons why 23 year old JKS has become Japan’s brightest Hallyu star. “Sukkiri” points out that besides the two known external reasons of JKS’ acting skill being honed since his high school days and his singing prowess, Jang Keun Suk’s gender-neutral sexiness and his consideration and sincerity towards fans and fellow workers are his internal characteristics that account for his gradual transition to the ranks of Hallyu superstars.
Just walk into any bookstore in Tokyo,
On a survey conducted on the 15 – 44 age group, the viewership rating for “Marry me Mary” (M3) on 11 May is as high as 1.09%, and secures the top position for Korean drama viewership ratings in Taiwan.
