On 27 Sep afternoon, Jang Keun Suk visited the venue in Seoul where the musical “Winter Sonata” was being performed. The musical director is Yun Seok-ho.

[News] “Love Rain”: JKS and Yoona’s first script rehearsal meeting
Recently, production company yoonscolor organised a script practice rehearsal, and in attendance were director Yoon Seok-ho, scriptwriter Oh Soo-yeon, Jang Keun Suk, Yoona, Kim Sihoo, Song Eun-rui, Hwang Bora, Seo In Guk. Director Yoon provided detailed guidance, and JKS and Yoona practised their lines seriously as if for actual shooting.
Acting both roles of a faithful artistic apprentice Seo In-sia in the 1970s and a photographer Seo Jun free-spirited in career and love, JKS expressed that “The first time I saw the script, my tears flowed. At that time, I had a compulsion to convey both characters’ and my own emotions through Love Rain. I believe, in many areas that I’ve not experienced, the director and scriptwriter will give me lots of help.”

Now, this probably means that if there is any text, it will be in traditional Chinese. Shouldn’t be too bad because the songs and DVD are more important, right?
Also, I don’t know what kind of photo-book they mean, but it could be the usual kind of photo-book found in albums.

JKS is new ambassador for Shufoo
Shufoo, Japan’s website with the biggest collection of online advertisements and promotions (usually from supermarkets and shops), has invited Jang Keun Suk to be its new image ambassador, and says that JKS is popular amongst all age groups which ties in with their image as well. JKS’ new Shufoo advertisement will be released at the end of September 2011.

29 Aug 2011 – The filming of “You’re my Pet” (YMP) concluded yesterday and it will be in cinemas in Korea in November this year, and in Japan in January next year, and the lead actor / actress will go to Japan for promotion. Filming in Ibaraki had to be abandoned because of Japan’s Great Eastern Earthquake, and the two leads expressed that their hope that this movie can bring spirit and courage to everyone.
This movie shows Jang Keun Suk’s masculine side as well as many adorable aspects, and Kim Ha Neul added that YMP is a movie that would make people long for such a “pet” at least once in their lifetime.

TBC, a Japanese beauty salon with many outlets in Japan, have engaged Jang Keun Suk for its advertising campaign, together with Ōshima Yuko and Maeda Atsuko of Japanese girls’ group AKB48.
Announced at the press conference this morning, in line with the theme of “Open Your Beauty”, board advertisements will appear in more than 200 places across 7 Japanese cities from 25 August, and the TV advertisement is scheduled to air on 7 September.

[News] Media feel unfair that JKS became target of anti-Hallyu influences
Sohu Korean Entertainment News – Korean star Jang Keun Suk held a “Marry me Mary” (M3) fan-meeting on 18 August at Budokan. This drama had favourable reviews when it was aired on KBS in May this year. On 18 August, JKS and Moon Geun Young re-enacted classic scenes from the drama, and also performed OST such as “Take Care, my Bus”.
In the talk segment, JKS continued his sudden streaks of cuteness. When asked which scene he liked best in M3, he answered directly, “the kissing scene, because we’ve had lots of practice”, which almost made all the eels in the audience faint. He then added that he was “joking, Michael Jordan (pronunciation of Jordan and ‘joking’ in Japanese is close)!” Every time that JKS visits Japan, he would exhibit the results of his Japanese language learning and the new phrases he learns.
