As part of their 9th anniversary celebrations, X Sports News recently interviewed several Hallyu stars, including actor Jang Geun Suk.

Jang Geun Suk debuted as a child model in a clothing catalogue, and appeared in a cable channel sitcom at age 11. Since then he has earned the title “Asia Prince” and is frequently named as one of Korea’s representative Hallyu stars.

“I feel proud that I expanded promotions not only to Japan but to the rest of Asia,” he said when asked about his titles. “As a representative of Korea, I always think I need to take more responsibility.”

Actor and singer Jang Keun-suk released a single in Japan on Wednesday, according to his public relations agency Y Tree Company.

Titled “Darling Darling,” this is Jang’s first release in Japan in five years since hit song “Let Me Cry.” Jang plans to unveil two additional singles in the next two months.

“My new song captures how I feel when I meet my fans,” said the 28-year-old in a statement.

[News] Fan club celebrates Jang Keun-suk’s birthday with charity exhibition

A fan club of South Korean star actor Jang Keun-suk has thrown a charity photo exhibition to celebrate the star’s birthday, a local promotion agency said Tuesday.

To celebrate Jang’s 29th birthday, some 1,500 fans from home and abroad visited the two day event, held on Saturday and Sunday at the gallery in Cheongdamdong, central Seoul, according to the celebrity event promoter Ytree Company. Displayed in the exhibition are photographs of Jang, in addition to adorable artwork dedicated to the South Korean singer-actor, who has a large fandom throughout Asia, especially at home and in Japan.
