Part 1

Part 2

Thanks to tenshi_akuma for sharing this video~! A wonderfully long 24 minutes ^^

For my rambling thoughts which you can skip first ^^

An in-depth video/interview of JKS never fails to strike a chord in my heart and give rise to mixed feelings … … of course happy to gaze at his beautiful face, his intense eyes, his happy smile, his playful moments (and that sleepy moment) … …

Even after a year of keeping my eyes glued to our star, I still find myself touched by this man … and with eyes still glued to his every move, his every gesture and every single expression in his eyes and face. For a few scenes in a CF that shows for only a few seconds on TV, he had to do each scene many times over until it is perfect, even for a simple scene such as walking. When he stood on the wall, my heart skips a beat (well, it may look like a low wall, but still looks dangerous to me, lol). When he was unwell and still had to do the jump so many times, … really heart-aching. Even though we may long to see Sukkie in an action movie, well… just thinking of all those hard work, potentially dangerous action moves and possible injuries turns my heart cold…. This is the path that Sukkie has chosen… a tough, uphill path full of challenges and obstacles that Sukkie has to face and conquer … his boundless passion for acting and life never fails to motivate. His success now is not by luck or accident; it is the result of his talents and the voluminous amounts of effort that he puts in, and with the right timing and opportunities of course.

Always persevering and doing his best, with a smile on his face for the people around him no matter how tired he is … this is our Star … not just a shining star, but also a genuine, lovable guy who shines his warmth into our heart ….

  2. Million thanks to you tenshi_akuma and to Aphrael .
Aphrael, as much as was excited to watch, I couldn’t just simply skip your random thoughts, I kept reading them more than once before watching and I read them again afterwards. Well said dear,Yes, it’s so true how even after a year we all still have our eyes glued on every gesture he makes! I pray for Sukkie to always shine and I pray that he would find his own “Key” to achieve all his dreams in this life, coz. simply he deserves it.

  3. Aphrael & Kaori-chan, Thanks for the translation & sharing… actually I feel the same as you when I looked at Sukkie jumping down the wall with his heels.. it may look simple but can be easily hurt.. seeing him in action clips from HGD or “Baby & I” or even the way he challenged the waves at Hawaii doing surfing, riding a horse, piloting a plane… Sukkie can definitely act well in any action drama/movie but many times, I can’t imagine how he can do so many things concurrently like in 2008, he shoot HDG drama concurrently with “Baby & I” movie, same year with BV & Happy Life… really worry about his health..with little sleep over long period is definitely no good as the body resistence will go down for sure..

  6. “There will always be a way!”… “There will always be a way!”…I still can hear him saying these words! What kind of person he is who is always professional in spite of feeling not so well after drips, who sacrifices his health and time for his job, for getting the best result, and finally he who never fails to smile even though it’s tough for him to work!!!! I’m really amazed by this person!!! My both hands are up for his professionalism and optimistic, “never give up” attitude toward the situation!!!!

Sukkie!!! Wish you reach the highest peak of ur career! I wish that all of ur dreams – even if it’s getting Oscar, or being World Prince, or just being good husband and father- wish all of them come true!!!! We eels always love and support u!!! FIGHTING!!!!

PS: thanks to aphrael and tenshi for sharing! 🙂

  7. My dear lord…. thought I couldn’t possible love him more. Ever times I watched or read his interviews, I’m falling in love with him deeper and deeper. I never get tire of reading his interviews or watching his videos – CF, Dramas, movies, fanmade videos, etc. No matter what people say about him. JKS is the best!

Can you believe it, it has been 1 ½ years now since I followed Sukkie, my craze for him is growing stronger and stronger. What can I say! I am truly and madly trapped in his eels’ pond forever.

    • Oh I know how you feel. Its only been 1/2 a year for me now and my feelings grow stronger daily. I made a comment on the new FB Eels Club page that I had to take a picture of him off my phone because I find him too distracting while working. My hand kept on getting drawn to his face that I was activating features. He is truly special and I believe he will achieve his goals because he’s not rushing… he’s taking his time, building a base, working at building a solid reputation. He knows what he wants and is bringing people together to help him achieve those dreams. I truly believe he will be a force to be reckoned with when he gets older and the fact that he knows that some of those dreams wont be achieved until he is older just demonstrates the level of maturity he has at such a young age. I know I’m gushing. Please forgive me but I’m reading comments backwards LOL.

  10. Just saw the vids. Reminded me of my own filming experience when I was working at the airport in my early 20s. For Sporeans, you may have heard of CIAS, the smaller handling agent at Changi airport. Well anyway, they wanted to make an introductory video to be shown to new employees about the company and what areas of service we offer. The scene was: I was supposed to escort 2 unaccompanied minors(kids below 12 trvlg on their own), hold their hands and bring them to the playground in the transit area. I think I did more than 20 takes after which I was too embarrassed and self-conscious to relax. The poor kids must hv been irritated with me, not mention the crew. In the end, they edited out my scene totally. I couldn’t be happier! Lol!!!

  11. @aphrael, i read your new post last night but I could not find words to comment because all the words that you said are just so beautiful..I felt the love and your concern to our Prince.Know what when I have free time I read old post in your blog esp. the “fan account” and from there I get to know more about Sukkie..It is very humbling to read such dedication and passion of Eels in pursuing/ doing things for Sukkie..At some point I wonder if the things that I’ve done can match their efforts, possibly not!! Anyway I downloaded a membership form from “JANG GEUN SUK PHILIPPINES” because I want to become a member of course and show Sukkie that I am serious about him.^_^.I never imagine myself to be like this and it is my first time ever but what can I do, I love him that much!!!

  12. Thanks for the effort on making subs! It’s been almost 3 days we haven’t heard from our beloved Sukkie :/ *sigh* So this really made my past few days 🙂 His attitude towards his career is soo inspiring. After watching, I hope my view in my future job will be like his. Not labeling my job as something I need to do to get money or give me a stand in life, but something that i want and enjoy doing. And i agree, when he said “There will always be a way!”,, wow *Speechless* usually actors/actesses will complain or cancel out because they have other plans to do. This 24 year old guy can really impact a new comer and even actors who are 30, just by listening to his simple words. i wish more and more people will view Sukkie as a person who is really dedicated and really cares about wanting to make people happy/satisfied through his work. Not just basing of in appearances.
Just wanted to share a video, which literally made me cry (IDK why) haha Thanks again!!

    • I don’t know of any professional entertainer who as put as much care and shown as much appreciation to their fans as Sukkie. I think this is part of the reason I care for him so deeply. I may never be the recipient of this care and devotion but I can see that it is there for those who are fortunate enough to have the opportunity. Thank you for sharing this video. It brought tears to my eyes. He talks about his eels so much that even people who are just starting to work with him knows how much he cares for his eels.

    • first time i saw this video was a couple of months back (i also saw a longer one where he said some things about himself and his dream of becoming the Asia Prince, and then he sang the song). i was touched by his display of affection and appreciation of his fans that i found myself crying.

  13. Wow. I think I fell in love just a little bit more if thats possible. I just got around to watching these videos (I had to go food shopping for an USA holiday and then go to work). Thank you so much Aphrael and Tenshi! I’ve only seen bits and pieces before so this is the first full BTS video of a working day for him that I’ve seen. I was saving it for when I got home from work so I could enjoy it without distraction. He is definately a professional and has a wonderful professional attitude. And a few things I been thinking were confirmed on this video like his dancing while working to bring up his energy level. Not many people seem to enjoy what they do like he does and also makes people want to work with him like that director who indicated he would work with JKS again. 🙂 Again, thanks so much. This really lifted up my spirits since there has been so much silence from Sukkie last couple of days.

His generosity makes me think of those people who knows how to pay back to the society they get benefit for. Warren Buffett, Bill Gates. Yes, Uri Prince. He is a giant! He is that big to me. Hooray, Prince! Go to world. I’m waiting you here in US. I think I will try my beat you to come here instead that I go to Asia to see you. 🙂

  17. I was just talking to my mom and aunt about some of the stuff that was mentioned in this video (goals, work ethic, etc) and I think they might have grasped some of what I was saying and actually got a working comparison from them. Just so you know its not an appearance or personality comparison. From what I was telling them they compared his work history and goals to Ron Howard. Not sure how many of you guys know who Ron Howard is but he’s an American actor, director and producer. And at a pretty young age he started setting goals for himself that have led him to where he is today, an award winning director. And on that note Ron Howard is considered one of the most successful actors of all time (in the US) and he’s kept a clean life married with children without scandal. I’m just happy I was able to find something about Sukkie that my mom could relate to.

    • You know Sukkie mentioned at BIFF open talk that he likes Leonardo Dicaprio, which I do think they have some similarities on the path. Leo is 36 or something and he still hasn’t settled down yet for his personal life, which I hope by that time Sukkie as his wish he has found his special partner and started his own family.

I can fully understand if you use Ron Howard would be a much better example to your mom and aunt, because I believe that’s their generation star they grow with and also I like Ron Howard, love his works.

      • Fonzie was played by Henry Winkler… another actor turned director and producer (mostly in TV but not as successful as Ron Howard) and he has lived a relatively clean life. But yeah, really been trying to find something that was relateable to my Mom. She still doesn’t get it fully but that’s okay at least she understands a little more.

  18. Enjoyed the video immensely!

Keun Suk is deeply appreciative of the fact that the entire production team both filming and pictorial had flown in from Japan to fit his schedule. He wants to ensure that they could return home with an end product that is PERFECT and completely worthy of their making the trip thus far. He very considerately set the mood by telling the director promptly not to be concerned about time and to do as many takes required to achieve the most desired outcome. Then he makes the effort to thank everyone personally at the end of the day when all the work is done. This clearly demonstrates his aura of being a leader of men, possessing total control over his environment and enabling everyone within that environment to leave with a pleasant experience. Herein is his charm and maturity.

    • I would bet everyone that works with him enjoys the experience and desires to work with him again in the future. With his work ethic and attitude of professionalism he must be popular inside the business as well as with fans. I think being popular to work with is just as important, and some ways more important, then being popular with the public and fans

  19. he will definitely go places and reach unimaginable new heights in his career with the kind of work ethics and professionalism he exhibits. he isn’t contented with mediocre output and always gives his best to perfect everything he does.

i remember a portion of the 2010 asia tour DVD that @ione shared wherein he had to spend 3 hours to record the song “Dreams, Giving them Wings” and sing the same line in the song for more than 30 times before he had it down to a T and the music director was satisfied. i felt so proud (as if i was his mom?!!!) when the director said “he sings very well for an actor.” and at the end of the recording, the director became a fan. his passion never fails to amaze people around him.
