On 29 Dec, Tree-J staff confirmed that JKS donated 10 million won each to a Gang-nam orphanage, World Vision and a coal-sharing programme, amounting to a total of 30 million won.
JKS has always been thankful to fans for their love, and he has always wanted to reciprocate. His donations to charity spring from this intention. This is not the only time he has made donations; he has always been doing that.
Tree-J staff also said that JKS has wanted to keep his donations private. He has been making donations from the beginning of the year till the end of the year. He has been donating for a few years, and will continue to do so in future.

I tried to explain to someone once the importance to giving to those that are less fortunate, whether it be money or time, and they didn’t understand why they should give proceeds from their work to someone that they felt didn’t work as hard as they did. One of the things that I admire so much about our Prince is that he is aware that his good fortune is thanks to the people that have supported him while he has been working so hard so he sincerely wants to give back to the community at large. That is an admirable quality. And the fact that he tries to do it quietly without pomp and circumstance makes me love him more. Charity is more than just writing a check its about actually putting yourself forward even if its in a small way. Anyway, I think everyone should be doing something for others even if its just something as simple as holding a door open for someone coming in behind you at a convenience store.
