Three years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. At that time, we received support from various areas and countries all over the world. Especially Jang Keun Suk fans are promoting not to forget his thoughtfulness and the bond between them of that time.

Just 6 days after the disaster, on March 17th, Jang Keun Suk sent a supportive message on twitter. He held a message placard, ‘Don’t give up Japan!’ with a gentle smile. And at the same time, he also made a donation and sent blankets as soon as he knew the accident. Speaking of blankets for disaster victims, we usually imagine gray or brown ones, but the one he sent to them is bright-colored pink. And there was an encouraging message, ‘Don’t give up hope, Japan.’

His fans always thank him who always cares about Japan and eels (a.k.a. his fans). Currently Jang Keun Suk is recording TEAM H album. And his latest drama ‘Beautiful Man (Bel Ami)’ broadcast in Korea last November is going to air in June on KNTV.

  2. Dear Tenshi. I have read the written in March 10, 2012. I was impressed by the recounted of you. Thank you because you wanted to share with us those painful memories.
I remember how deeply impressed us the images seen on TV with the Fukushima disaster. I saw then more pain, more suffering but more solidarity and sacrifice. Since we could not effectively help because of the distance, we prayed for the souls of those who disappeared, for the health of those escaped with his life and those who were making superhuman efforts to rescue and rebuild.
At that time I did not know Jang Keun Suk.
I really appreciate his involvement in supporting those in trouble.
Only a responsible person, sensitive, human and with a great soul may be on side those who suffer with words of encouragement and material aid.
I am very proud of this attitude that proving once again as before being gifted artist, Jang Keun Suk is truly a great man.
All the best and God forbid us from trouble!

  3. Thanks Tenshi for sharing. Beautiful man with a beautiful heart! Proud to be his eel!
I also very proud of Japanese who let the whole world see and learn a human being’s inner beauty (unselfishness and well discipline) even under a great disaster!

  4. Thank you Tenshi for bringing us back in memories..
I was not his eel yet but this for me shows how great he is as a person as a being..
I did not know about the little “detail” of his gifts…bright pink blankets with a message…how special is that and how special he is…he did not just donate but he managed to give an extra support with his gift..pink to lift up the spirits…who needs grey and brown when everything around you is devastated and right on depressing…
His thoughts are far beyond our comprehension…what we might find important he already left behind…he has other “importants” in live we yet have to learn about..He is indeed a remarkable spirit
