I actually like him being a bit chubby :). He was really slender the past few years and when he still had his ‘bishounen’ Kang Mu Gyul’s style, it fit him a lot. With this new look, i think gaining some more weight would be perfect… giving me the handsome Dokgo MaTe vibe 🙂

In our own opinion,we love him in this kind of style.Even in the picture were he was wearing his long coat,sort of a military pants ,wearing a boots and a cap.We find it very sexy,fashionable and manly.Rather than wearing his sort of a girly outfit sometimes.We resent that.We definitely adore his” Ma Te sense of style”.It feels so right and perfect for his age.

From the beginning I apologize if I upset anyone, but this was not my intention.
I know that everyone here love our Keun Suk without measure.
Many times, in our desire to show as much this love, we forget that before being an actor and singer, Keun Suk is a normal person, with joys and sorrows, pains, with achievements and frustrations with certainties and doubts …
Moreover, he is under constant pressure from all sides and his life is viewed under the magnifying glass, as if he has no right to be a normal person.
To get where he is and to maintain there he led a fight that involved hard work, no rest and a lot of sacrifices.
Especially , we who love Keun Suk must have the all confidence in him. We must understand him and give him all the support he needs.
Most importantly, in my opinion, is that we need to consider as time goes over him. We must accept that it is no longer the sweet boy a few years ago. Our dear Keun Suk has grew and became a really wonderful man.
Allure body and facial features change over time. He can gain weight or can lose some weight, can be short or long hair, dark, red or blond.
However, his unique smile and his velvety voice will always remain the same.
Of course, we may “scolded” him if necessary, but with love and understanding.
Let me tell you, for me Kang Mu-Kyul and Keun Suk in Budapest Diary are my dearest moments. When I have a heavy heart, I watch Keun Suk long-haired rocker and free spirit and my joy of life returns.
However, I enjoy the changes that he pass, I love the man who became and believe in what will be in the future.
He still has a difficult road to travel further but he is perfectly capable to move forward successfully.

I don’t think comments on his weight etc here are actually offending him… more a matter of different ‘taste’. I’ve seen a lot of antis’ comments about him on really a different level because they didn’t appreciate him at all. I guess we all here drop our comments because we care about him in a good way though it doesn’t always come in a form of ‘praises’ ;).
JGS is maturing. I understand now, after watching Pretty Man, why he picked this drama. I think JGS choses his roles with a lot of thoughts . His choice shows maturity. PM is no ordinary story. It is not a shallow pretty boy story as the title and 1st episode seem to indicate. It is a very good and interesting drama. It has a lot of depth and life lessons to learn. Ma Te is a challenging role to play and JGS did a terrific job portaying him. It is so very interesting to follow Ma Te’s maturity process in his search for the truth. JGS, you are wonderful in Pretty Man! I really enjoy this drama. Looking forward to your next project.
yes, i agree. Pretty Man was great. I learned a lot of insights from it. Actor Jang did an excellent job in choosing this drama and I hope he will have another drama soon. No matter what the ratings, actor Jang did a good job..he was able to portray each role to perfection, complete with new hairstyle and attires for each look. I especially love his role with Electric Fairy.. so cute…
I do always comment about his appearance cheekily .. when it looks hot to me I ‘ll express that I ‘m drooling over him but when otherwise , I like to make fun of him too but that doesn’t mean that I love him less. This is just one of those days that his face looks bit puffy . Also like what he mentioned in his radio , its his profession to appear infront of camera and there are times he needs to be in better shape . I believe he is more concern about how he looks more than anyone else cause it matters to his career . Probably our comments will help him to better judge what eels from different cultures think about him .
