  1. Nicely done Shirley! I love Mi Ho’s very apt quote too though it sounds so corny!

Seo Joon is so full of conceit and arrogance and God knows he needs someone to bring him down a peg or two but he’s so charming how can any girl resist?

Hana is so disarmingly innocent and naive, any guy would rush to protect her. They both make such an adorable couple.

Frankly I find it hard to reconcile the two In Has. The senior In Ha has changed so much, and I don’t mean in looks but in character. In his urgency to woo Yoon Hee back for all the lost time, if I was in Yoon Hee’s shoes, I would feel so rushed and my own feelings and preference brushed aside. I would definitely take a step back actually… cos I don’t recognize this new person…

Hye Jung… I would just say she’s obsessed with what she perceives as hers and it’s more a matter of possession than love. Even though I sympathized with her at first cos i thought she really loved In Ha but deep down even after knowing that she will never gain his love, she refuses to see Yoon Hee happy. I think she will be able to accept it better if In Ha had an affair with other women but never Yoon Hee.

    • nah, i think Hye Jung will find ways n means to get rid of other women, it’s not in her character to forgive nor grant happiness to others if her happiness cannot be fulfilled….

  2. (1) agree with smiley sukkie, that I love all the little, little things that a couple in love does … thinking abt what the other person is doing now, feeling jealous at every little thing… so many funny scenes i.e. Jun in the car and his friends/colleagues amazed at his rarely-seen, genuine sweet smile and trying to cover it up by saying phones are so funny nowadays and make pple laugh ~ hilarious~~

    (2) I DISLIKE HYE JUNG
    – that woman really makes me irritated. pretending to be happy to see Yoon Hee and hugging her, when at the bottom of her heart, she must be wishing that Yoon Hee disappears from the face of the earth, n she soon reveals her true feelings. she’s bordering on the edge of despicable… have the feeling that she’ll do something bad soon.

    – and women throw their pride on the ground when they refuse to let go of a relationship when the man does not love her, it’s not as if the man has promised her anything. just a personal feeling n no personal offence meant to anyone. she should be the one to wake up to reality, and resorting to being drunk to get away from her problems is just a physical manifestation of her escapism. I love Chang-mo’s words to Hye Jung at this point: “Stop acting like you’re the victim”!

smiley sukkie, i like your quote at the end. I think Hye Jung should frame this line and put it up on her wall every day to remind her that “Love does not delight in evil” 🙂

in short, just love all the Jun and Hana scenes~! so sweet~!!!!!!!!

    • I started my comment before anyone had writtenanything so have only just seen what you have wrote, I did to some degree defend Hye Jung’s actions in my comment but I completely 100% agree with you about how she goes about things, it’s so incredibly two faced, the hug and then the knife in the back, discusting behaviour and despite it all Yoon Hee, to my surprise, was happy to see her. In one way I wonder if in this scene they weren’t both putting on a show it was very reminisant of the earlier scene when she told Yoon Hee that she liked In Ha and it is left for you to think that she does know that Yoon Hee likes him too, so again they are both putting on an act. I don’t know maybe i’m wrong but there does seem to be a lot of these scenes that reflect the past back to the future, it’s marvelously done.

But I do think that there are always reasons people do things that aren’t always apparent, and some people just need more help in life than others. This woman heads up a large company by herself so won’t have any collegues on her level, her friends are really In Ha’s friends and her one girlfriend from school lives in the states. Who does this woman have to talk to or go to for help? As we can see everytime she is calling out for help, instead of helping her move forward, people allow her to get drunk and then stick her in a taxi home. She’s doing wrong and nasty things, but perhaps she is just treating the world as it has treated her. Not that I think that is right to to that but more like I could understand it, and feel quite sad about it.

  3. I also dislike Hye Jung… from Chang Mo’s conversation with her, it also appears that she was the one who told the rest of the gang that Yoon Hee died,…. and that was why In Ha did not go to the US to look for Yoon Hee.

Can’t wait for Monday to come…!!!

  4. What a lovely write up smiley sukkie, as I said in my comment on episode 9 I look at this episode as it’s mirror image, going from the kiss to the confession, but this time Ha Na is the one making the confession, and you have described it beautifully. There is just one thing I would say about what you have written and that is that when In Ha says “You were so close to me, and yet I never knew.” he was talking about her being ill, he didn’t know that she was ill when they were younger until she had gone, it wasn’t about him knowing if she was ‘the one’ because I think he was certain on that point from the word go. I love the details in this episode, it’s full of them, father and son especially. I like the fact that Ha Na would be one minute griping that he hadn’t said goodbye and then she would get a text. I like the fact that In Ha would show up in the morning with a breakfast picnic and would have 8 different types of coffee just so he would have the one she liked. Both men basically wooing their respective women each of them paying attention to the details, another link that shows how similar they are and yet another contrast between the 70’s style and the current style of dating. I think you could dig and dig and dig in this episode and still find something new :0). There is one thing that has me thinking though, does Ha Na know that Tae Seong is the second son of the owner of the hotel, and that he is the resort director? Also as the director of their partner company, how much sway wi hye Jung have? Will she be able to get Yoon Hee fired? It’s a close call given who is in charge at this resort, it may come down to how Ha Na treats him yet, ooo sticky situation brewing! And at this point I have given Hye Jung’s character as much ‘benefit of the doubt’s’ as I can, and she still keeps on going. I could understand her warning Yoon Hee off if it was a newly broken relationship that they were still trying to fix, or even if they were genuinely trying to mend their relationship and it was Yoon Hee that was following In Ha, but their relationship has been over for 10 years and her asking to start again, and getting turned down I might add, does not consitute them attempting a reconcilliation. Seriously, on the one hand I feel very sorry for this character because she has some serious issues, and lets face it shes not a happy person. She was dating someone who we now learn is married but won’t leave her alone, but in response to this she has denied knowledge of the marriage so that is now over. She has pined her entire life since school for a man who never loved her and pretty much learnt to live off the crumbs of affection that he threw at her. Faced with losing even that last little bit of him she becomes desperate, I guess love can make you like that if you are scared of loosing someone. So here she is warning off Yoon Hee and i’m sure more to come, actions of a desperate woman but nevertheless she knows that they are wrong, she knows where her husbands heart lies and she shamelessly carry’s on regardless which I just find reprehensible, this is a woman that needs to take stock of her life and make a fresh start because her current path is stifling her and all around her, the bit that makes me angry at this character is that she knows this, and still she won’t do it. But then things are always easier said that done and we have already seen that she has an addictive personality, maybe she’s just not getting the help she needs. Ah you see I did end up sticking up for her again in the end anyway, lol, maybe i’m too soft, kekeke.

  5. Has anyone noticed the beautiful cherry blossom trees that were in full bloom at the white garden? Love cherry blossoms – have seen miles and miles and miles long row of cherry blossom trees in full bloom in Kyoto. Nothing but packed full of little flowers on branches with no leaves. A gentle breeze and millions of petals pink, white, fushsia floating through the air, softly falling, carpeting the footpaths below. Cherry blossoms everywhere, light, cool air and refreshing scent all around. Very peaceful, calm and romantic. This is exactly the same feeling depicted by Joon leaning on Hana’s back after the “travelling” photoshoot and subsequently presenting her the diamond snow necklace. It is my absolute favourite scene of ep 10. Beautiful. I must say Director have an undisputed eye for beauty and he must have gotten staff to watch the cherry blossom trees in order to film just right at the short period of catching them in full bloom!

  6. Very well written. My favourite episode is 9 & 10. I especially like the part where Jun buried his face onto pillow when Hana realize that he can see her through the bookshelf. He is really like a small kid being caught doing something wrong. Ah… So cute and adorable.

About Hye Jung at first i can understand her but i think now she’s too much and i’m afraid what else she can do to make the life of In Ha, Yoon Hee, Joon and Hana miserable..

  8. Episodes 9 & 10 are by far the best & sweetest. The thoughtful and romantic Seo Joon is slowly coming out, and he‘s been smiling a lot because of Ha Na (which also made me smile most times while watching). Oh, the kisses esp the ones by the fountain just made me shriek and jump from my seat. LOL! I dread to see what‘s gonna happen when Seo Joon finds out that Ha Na‘s mom is his dad‘s first love that he has never forgotten. But maybe he would also be able to understand his dad more this time since he already knows how first love is like.

  10. I think Hey Jung is a kind of person who cannot admit her own faults. Not only about love but also about other things, if she fails, she thinks that’s because of others existence. She just persuades herself to accept the fact like so. So she believes that she can get whatever she wants if there’re no rivals. What a pity of her…

  11. i really love “love rain” and enjoy reading all the, recaps… feels like i see something new every time i watch it again. the cinematography was fantastic! really makes one feels like falling in love all over again. JGS is darn adorable…cant believe im looking forward to mondays… they are not so “blue” anymore… hope joon doesnt make hana too heart broken.. a bit worrisome that sun ho told hana that she can go to him if she’s heart broken.. so ominous.. like sun ho is expecting joon to break hana’s heart…
