This well-known Japanese eel drew Japanese-card-game(Karuta)-styled fan-art. Each card has a Japanese phonetic character, Hiragana, a kind of Japanese alphabets. Each card has a simple explanation about the illustration. The sentence started with the phonetic character, Hiragana. Hiragana consists of 48 characters, so these fan art also consists of 48 cards!
