Actor Jang Geun Suk is hard at work on his role as the king’s forgotten son Dae Gil in SBS‘s Monday-Tuesday drama, “Jackpot.”
Dae Gil is a character that is forced to leave the castle and survives taking an arrow to the chest and falling from a cliff. Expectant viewers are looking forward to how well Jang Geun Suk will fit the role of Dae Gil, whose destiny forces him to be anything but ordinary.
Jang Geun Suk’s acting enthusiasm was alluded to in a meeting between “Jackpot” staff and journalists. Director Nam Geon and writer Kwon Soon Gyu didn’t hide their strong trust and approval of experienced actor Jang Geun Suk. They hinted at the actor’s hard work while mentioning scenes in which he falls into a mud flat and an outside bathroom. They also mentioned his passion for “Jackpot,” which is his first small screen appearance in two years.
Meanwhile, the third episode of “Jackpot” to be broadcast on April 4 will feature young actors Yeo Jin Goo (Yeon In Gun, future King Young Jo) and Lim Ji Yeon (Dam Seo), in addition to Jang Geun Suk. Jang Geun Suk especially is expected to be running and rolling on the ground on his first appearance on the drama.
The stills from the filming for episode 3 that was released by production staff shows the actor with an old soldier’s hat covering half of his face, running around here and there. In one image, he is going over a handrail to escape an axe-wielding bandit while in another he’s looking around with a sharp gaze, as if he is investigating something secretly.
Sukkie is such a Daebak himself!!!
This is it… This is finally the project i think our dear Sukkie has been waiting for (and pls note its worth the wait, Eels) – the very same project that would hopefully catapult him to where he should have been in his acting career for a long time now… Didnt mean to sound so biased here, but Sukkie is still the best of them all! Mind his eye movement, the body language, the accent, everything about this Daegil guy – Sukkie is simply great and even a lot greater…
Praying that Korea has evolved and would have an open mind and be sensibly objective on this JKS drama. Now is the time Korea… Be there and stand proud for having someone like Sukkie – Totally Awesome Performer
I totally agree with you. The no. of expressions he could put in just 15 mins of episode is just outstanding. He looks so cute, so handsome with great acting skills. DAEBAK will be the best project so far. But i feel like this everytime i see his new drama or movie. First i thought YAB is the best, then MMM, then love rain, pretty man or his all movies.Every time there will be a new JKS. We can conclude he always chose the best drama and the best character for him. This makes me a proud eel.
Hi dear Tenshi!!! Whats up? Have missed you guys especially this homepage. Still very much around… Just been so tied up to a lot of things right after the Sukkie Japan Live – really so busy ever since then. Sukkie’s hardwork and busy schedules are indeed infectious.
But i can still remember not forgetting to say my BIG Thanks to you for helping out and making those seemingly impossibilities turned to possibilities during the Tokyo trip. Will be forever indebted, Tenshi. Please bear that in mind. Meeting you in person is a dream come true and very unexpected. Such a fine dainty pretty young lady (oh your mom too). Its just a pity we didnt have that much time to get to know each other better…
Let me likewise take the opportunity to give my gratitude to Kazuyo, Frantess and of course to the always reliable and loyal Jezreel Jang – thank you all very much!!!
Warmest regards to the rest of the team! Your never ending and relentless support is forever noted… ZIKZIN
Ps : Hi ate margie!!! Not forgetting you… Just lost your number when i had a change of phone unit. Miss you 🙂
Okay, one last thing Tenshi… see how big i have missed you, girl 🙂
Watching Daegil real time like that one theyre simultaneously airing in Korea via SBS channel here in the Philippines. Its really fun watching Sukkie on the big screen but theres one problem, though.
SBS i learned does not provide english subtitles – very frustrating! How come they dont when KBS and Arirang channels do? Would you know why considering the pretty pricey subscription rates they charge to subscribers? Its really expensive compared again to the other 2 Korean channels..
Thank you very much.
Take care and God bless
Sorry, I am not Tenshi, but I have been watching Jackpot with Eng subs at http://dramanice.to/drama/jackpot-detail and there is also http://veuue.se/watch-online/jackpot which I hope are available in your area…
Loving the whole show so far but especially now the 3rd Episode because of course JKS has appeared! If I didn’t already know his true age I would have thought he surely was just a teenager acting an older part. He truly seems to have eternal youth! He has so much energy with this character, like an eager puppy ready to play, it was so much fun to watch. I have nothing but praise for this Drama and all the Actors and Actresses. The filming sites, the clothing, the hairstyles it is all simply marvelous!!
kkkkk yes Diana,
He’s the cutest 29 year old alive!
Who looks 19 and behaves like 9 – when he’s acting!
EXACTLY
yes, that’s our JKS… he’s really a different character in each of his dramas… he gives such a realistic portrayal you wouldn’t say he’s the same person… excellent acting skills, especially in Daebak… who would say this happy-go-lucky Daegil is the same elegant and handsome prince in Love Rain, Bel Ami, and YAB? Watching him is like looking at a totally different person… a very great actor indeed..
