[Beautiful Man] Thoughts and Recap For Episode 11

This episode starts where we stopped last week as Ma-te goes to MG party with Kang Wi Ji and he sees his father and Na Hong-Ran who is not pleased to see him, and suddenly out of nowhere David Choi appears in front of our Ma-te who is the least to say is shocked to see him.


David Choi says his greetings with no indicator what so ever that he’s the chairman bastard son.
The chairman gives Ma-te zero interest and left the group, to be followed by Na Hong-Ran. MJ CEO Park Moon Soo introduces himself to Ma-te and tells Ma-te to meet in another time as he is interested in his company after he heard so much about him.

Ma-te and David are left alone, where David lies and says that the chairman goes fishing where his father works (yeah right!). Ma-te sees the chairman standing alone so he grabs the chance and move towards him saying that his mom talked a lot about him, and he tells him his mother’s name, hoping to get the reaction and welcome he yearned for, but the chairman keeps his silence without saying a word, the second he was going to say something they are interrupted by a strange woman and then she starts babbling about Ma-te’s scandals with women, and our hero was about to choke (I believe inside he was cursing that woman).

Na Hong-Ran comes rushing in and tells the chairman that someone wants to meet him. Dokgo is frustrated as his chance to be recognized and accepted by his father is gone with the wind, and the chairman sees it as a chance and flies away.

Our Poor Ma-te leaves the hall extremely shocked and barely able stand up on his feet, and suddenly that evil woman approaches him and tells him that because he was known as a Casanova his own dad didn’t recognize him and that because they let “dogs and cows!” enter their party that’s why its quality is lowered. And here is where our Casanova took the kiss of death!!!

We move now to a scene between the father and the son – David and the chairman- where David asks his dad why he called him and the chairman responses simply that it was because he misses him, then David asks the one million dollars question “I heard a rumor that president Dokgo is my half younger brother?” and it looks like the president is confirming it by telling him that he needs to take care of his older brother instead of his younger brother!! And then he asks David to take his rightful place in the empire, but as expected the offer was declined by our second lead man.

Back to our devastated Ma-te who is wondering in the streets talking to his dead mother asking her if he was really a trash (aaawww), as if Bo tongs’ heart felt what he was going through she calls him on his phone but he rejects her call so she just went and waited for him in front of his building.

Dokgo crashes on the couch boiling with fever, which puts Bo tong on the protective mode again; Ma-te is completely silent from the shock he just got, after giving him medicine and covering him up with a blanket, she tells him that she will leave but he asks her not to, and to stay till he falls asleep, this sentence of his makes her more worry and asks him if anything happened with him; then she confesses to him by saying that she heard what he and Hong Yoo-Ra said and that she knows he is MG son and how shocked and sad she was over the news and that it’s a “game over” case for her now.

Ma-te finally opens up a little to our Bo-tong and asks her what difference it makes since he’s already garbage! Then he tells her that he met his father earlier but he didn’t even recognize him and that he looked like trash, she asks him to go directly to him and tell him who he is, but then he tells her about the password and that only Hong Yoo-Ra has it, she asks in fury why he didn’t ask her to give it to him and she understands that she won’t give it to anyone without something in return. She asks him to sleep so that he can recover faster and so he does.

Our Ma-te wakes up the next morning alone to only see that Bo-tong colored his smaller foot toe with nail polish!!! A mood killer calls him and that’s the little princes Wi Ji, who was angry at him for leaving her at the party, he tells her that he has a girlfriend and she throws another bomb at him saying that Myo Mi ditched him and went to France to shoot a movie there which her dad invested fully in, still in the shock Ma-te tries to call Myo-Mi only to find her phone closed.

We move to another scene with the spoiled princess and her family who tries to make her eat after she announced that she’s on a food strike until they bring the doll (Ma-te) to her!! So they try to bribe him with “pizza boxes” again and again.

After being fed up with that Ma-te decides to meet with the princess father, SS group chairman, calling him rude the chairman asks Ma-te what are his conditions to agree to date his daughter?. Ma-te answers that he wants SS Home shopping to be given to him, the chairman loses his mind and asks him to repeat what he said again, and when Ma-te does the chairman asks his secretary to throw Ma-te away, but our Ma-te knows the way he takes himself out.

Then we see the Iron evil lady talking to someone giving him an order; then we see Park Moon Soo receiving a call from one of the directors who apparently is drunk and asks him for the last time not to feel sorry. Park Moon Soo rushes out from his office to meet the director as he’s worried about him, only to find three men with the director in a room with money in front of them and suddenly the police rushes in charging him with illegal gambling.

In Botongs’ company the new employee Choi Do Hwi said bad things about Ma-te and Bo-tong was about to attack her saying that she has been arrested before for violence, and while David tries to stop her our Ma-te comes in, so to end the embarrassing situation Do Hwi asks Ma-te if he’s going to attend Wi Jis’ costume party, and he bash her by saying that she’s interested in his personal life more than her work.

Ma-te goes to his office and seems to be a little bit anxious when Bo-tong goes in and asks him if he want to eat since food is the best medicine to less the pain of being ditched, and he says that he let Myo Mi go; just when she was about to leave he stops her and ask her if she have evidence to her words when she told him that he’s more precious than the two mega companies (MG & SS), but she says no but that she’s certain about it and he’s happy to hear that, breaking the mood again is Ms “I am my daddy’s spoiled daughter “ where she calls Ma-te to invite him to her costume party, he rejects at first but she lures him by saying that she will talk to her dad about SS home shopping; reluctantly he agrees to go, and when Bo-tong knows about it she feels sad, as usual David comes to the rescue and asks her if she want to go to the party with him and she says she will.

We see Ma-te heading to the party riding a white limo, the security man asks him for an invitation but of course he don’t have one so SS group secretary rushes in and tells them to let him in. David takes Bo-tong to a clothes shop to buy costumes for the party; Bo-tong comes out wearing a blue dress and asks David if she is beautiful? And he says that she is.

They have reached the party but of course they don’t have an invitation to enter, when a girl comes from the inside to the rescue saying that they are Ji Wi friends and she let them in. Bo- tong asks David who is that girl and he says that she was his neighbor when he was in the U.S.

We see a band playing some music and Ma-te is sitting right in front of them and the princess (whose wearing princes Jasmine costume) is sitting next to him and clearly he’s not happy.
David and Bo-tong finally gets in and Bo-tong is really excited, David leaves her for a moment, at the same time Ji Wi declares that she has an announcement for everyone and that’s to declare who is her boyfriend, yup it’s no one but our Dokgo Ma-te who at least we can say about him was in disbelief from that rude (yeah you have the right to be), and the one who was in more disbelief was our poor Bo-tnog, so to get things worse the princess said that Ma-te loved her originally and that he ditched Myo Mi for her and then she asks for a kiss as a proof!! But she didn’t want any normal kiss a normal girl would like…she wanted him to kiss her FOOT!!! Telling him that if he kissed her foot she will grant him SS home shopping!! Dokdo stared at her without saying a word and Bo-tong started to sharpen her knifes and when things was getting worse our heroine Bo-tong ran for the rescue and called the princess a beggar!! And smashed her face with her (XXL) seashell bag!!

All went into silence as everyone were looking at the princess while she’s being hit, and Ma-te looked at Bo-tong in astonishment where there was two questions in his mind, from where did Bo-tong suddenly appear?? And she did not just hit the heiress of SS group on her face???
Bo-tong wanted to make her second attack but a small army of men gathered around her, taking the “weapon” she used!! Bo-tong being surrounded by all these men told Ma-te to never kneel to that wench and that he’s more important than her. The police are called and David follows Bo-tong only to see her getting ready to be sent to the police station, he tells her that everything will be ok and not to worry and he gives her his jacket.

At the police station David brings some snacks for Bo-tong and tells her not to worry and that he’ll head to the house to bring her clothes but Bo-tong didn’t want him to leave her because she’s scared from the man with her in the detention area, and he says that he will return immediately.

Both Ma-te and David sees each other in front of the police station and David says that although he knows that it’s not Dokgos’ fault but he’s mad at him! And no more of this heart break and hurt for Bo-tong since he will take care of her from now on and then he leaves him alone.

Our oppa sees Bo-tong behind the bars and he’s torn from the inside, she apologizes to him saying that she only made things worse for him and the company and that she can live several years in jail to cool down Kwi Jis’ anger, he says that she did well and then he gets a little mad at her saying why she concerns herself too much about him? She apologizes and then he tells her not to worry and that he’ll take her out of there no matter what. He remembers what David told him outside the station so he tells Bo-tong that he will take good care of her, after that he leaves her while she’s still in a dream from what she just heard.

Back at home where David is packing clothes for our poor Bo-tong, he makes a call to someone (err his dad maybe) and asks for that person’s help to save someone’s life, and looks like the other person agrees to that. Now we go to see the wounded princess with an ice bag on her face, while being asked by her friends what she will do about Bo-tong she says that she will make her rot in jail for what she did to her face.

The secretary rushes in telling Kwi Ji that Ma-te is out and he wants to talk to her. he enters and without any introductions says that if she releases Bo-tong he’ll keep on seeing her, she yells at him saying that even if he begged she won’t release her, and he says that it’s ok with him since that girl (Bo-tong) kept on chasing him all the time and he’ll find another chaebol daughter to meet; and while leaving she panics and agrees on letting Bo-tong out, giving her his back Ma-te releases a deep breath and says that he expects her to be out on the same day (yes he won).

David is waiting outside for Bo-tong while recalling that the person he called before telling him that Kwi Ji dropped the charges, Bo-tong is out and he is holding some Tufu for her to eat, Ma-te arrives and when seeing them talking and laughing he leaves in silence.

The next day at the company, David is arguing with a manager from MG on the phone asking why would the stop the cleaning socks from appearing on MGs home shopping, but he gets to nowhere with that man and Bo-tong is raging with anger saying that maybe it was the deed of that lady (the iron lady)
We see the iron lady being told by her secretary that Park Moon Soo will be released from the jail soon and whether they should postpone the shareholders meeting that will vote for his dismissal, of course she refuses saying that this meeting is going to be held according to the plan.

The next scene is at the café and our Ma-te is telling Hong Yoo-Ra about the things MG group are doing against him and his company, and he tells her that they need to use the power of the password as his father’s health is much better now and that he himself is not the old Ma-te anymore. Hong Yoo-Ra asks if he will go straight to see the chairman. And he answers that they need to buy some time as MG is holding a shareholder meeting to kick CEO. Park Moon Soo from the company, so when his identity will be known as an illegitimate child they will buy some time. Hong Yoo-Ra argues that not for once he could protect himself or his company from Na Hong-Ran attacks so he answers that by revealing his secret it can be a killing move. Ma-te wonders why she’s been holding onto the password this much. She replies that if she could give him the password now she would have done that from the beginning. After that she says that the best way for defense is to offense and that his defense is still weak and they don’t need to rush things up.

Mate is back to his house, as he grabs his parents’ picture he tells his mom that he will meet his father even without the password counting on his fathers’ heart. He arrives to his father’s mansion and requests to meet him, he’s been asked to wait by the secretary. The secretary tells the chairman that Ma-te wants to meet him, so the chairman asks if he came empty handed and the answer was yes, so he just says that he’s tired and that he wants to sleep! The secretary informs Ma-te that the chairman isn’t feeling well and won’t meet him; Ma-te knows that he’s been declined to meet him because of the password so he tells the secretary to deliver a message to the chairman; next time he’ll come back with the password!

Ma-te rushes back to his office frustrated from what happened, Bo-tong enters and ask him if he’s not going to his house? He looks distressed but asks about her condition and whether she’s ok or not after being into the police station and she replies that she’s fine but she’s worried about him since he don’t look well and he just smile at her. Not surprisingly she knows that it’s about the password and Ma-te gives her this strange look with a deep sigh and says nothing. Bo-tong with a determination look on her face is on the save mode again.

The next morning David enters her room telling her to get ready for work only to find the room empty, he calls her to ask if she went to work but it seems that she told him that she’s out for something and they agree to meet at the company, while leaving the room he discovers that she searched for Hong Yoo-Ra’s café address.

Hong Yoo-Ra enters the café only to find Bo-tong in her face who asks for 3 minutes from her time. While sitting together Hong Yoo-Ra tells Bo-tong that if she wanted to meet her she should taken an appointment; before she finishes her sentence Bo-tong kneels in front of everyone begging her to give Ma-te the password. Hong Yoo-Ra is embarrassed telling her she shouldn’t do such things in front of everyone (once our Bo-tong is determined on something nothing can stop her) but Bo-tong asks what can she do to help? If selling coffee at the café or cleaning for ever can help; and for the first time Hong Yoo-Ra is out of words and she just freeze (Is she touched!!!)

At the same exact moment David is climbing the stairs only to see this scene in front of him and he rushes in and pulls Bo-tong up and tells her to go to work with him, but she stops him saying that there’s something she needs to ask from Hong Yoo-Ra but he don’t listen to her and carries her from her waist in front of everyone leaving Hong Yoo-Ra in a shock.

Bo-tong is at the company feeling sad because she couldn’t help her oppa and David is looking at her in silence determined on doing something. We are in Hong Yoo-Ra house and this time she is with David, she asks him what he’s being there for? He asks her to give Mate’s password back, she replies that Ma-te has good friends around him but he tells her that this has nothing to do with Ma-te then he tells her that MG are planning to remove her ex- husband from his position, she says that he is interested in MG group as she is, but he throws the bomb and says it’s because it’s his father’s company! She looks at him in disbelief and orders him to repeat what he said and if he’s the chairman son? He says that instead of using Ma-te why not using him where he can protect Park Moon Soo and to give him the password. She asks him if the evil lady knows about his existence and he replies that she out of all people must know about that woman’s character and that it would have been impossible to live in piece all these years if she knew about him. She asks if it’s ok for his secret to be revealed like this, he tells her that he doesn’t care anymore because he wants to protect Bo-tong.

Back to the company, the staff are discussing business when Hong Yoo-Ra enters, she sees Bo-tong and greets her with a small nod then she enters to Ma-tes’ office. Bo-tong serves coffee to them and while leaving Hong Yoo- Ra asks her to stay for one minute and then she reaches for her bag and takes her phone that contains the password out and puts it on the table saying that he can take his mother’s password. Ma-te looks at her in surprise and disbelief. She talks to Bo-tong and says that the password is finally with Ma-te so she doesn’t have to go and bother her again. Ma-te asks what does that mean. Bo-tong apologizes saying that she went to the café and asked for the password, and Hong Yoo-Ra continues and says that she even knelt in front of her; Ma-te is angry asking why did she do that for his sake? Hong Yoo-Ra says that kneeling was nothing because someone just sacrificed his life to get the password because of his love towards Bo-tong. Both Ma-te and Bo-tong knew who she was talking about and so Bo-tong leaves them and run in the streets to go and see that person (David of course)

Finally she reaches home and sees David standing in the yard in front of the Christmas tree she rushes to him and asks why? With tears in her eyes she apologizes; he tries to change the subject by saying that the lights on the tree must be broken because they are not working. She apologizes again for ignoring his feelings all this time, he couldn’t hold his feelings back so he grabs her and holds her in his arms then he tells her that he’s sorry for loving her. Outside of the house Ma-te was standing all alone looking at both of them hugging each other and in sorrow all over his face he walks away.
