Jang Keun Suk’s International Fan Clubs launched a large scale of rice wreaths support for “Pretty Man” Press Conference
In order to support Jang Keun Suk’s new drama “Pretty Man” at KBS, JKS’s international fan clubs sent a large scale of dreamy rice wreaths, eggs dreamy wreath, diapers dreamy wreath and powder milk dreamy wreath, to pray for the success of the new drama and continuously launched the wreaths to support Actor Jang.
The “Pretty Man” Press Conference was held in Imperial Hotel Seoul in the afternoon of 18 November. Apart from Korea, the participating fan clubs sending wreaths for Jang Keun Suk were come from the Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Columbia, Russia – fans from approximately 17 countries and an international fan club consisting of fans from various numbers of countries – a total of 15.73 tons of rice wreaths, 2,000 eggs, 2,400 pieces of diapers and 30 cans of powder milk were received. As a large number of wreaths had already been occupied the whole venue, wreaths from individual fans were not accepted. 15.73 tons of rice wreaths equal to be a meal for 130,000 people. Jang Keun Suk is prepared to donate the rice to the needy children or organizations. According to the instructions of JKS, eggs will be donated to the singleton elderly to solve the problem of undernutrition. Moreover the diapers and powder milk will be donated to some welfare centres.
The fans of Jang Keun Suk were keen on donating rice wreaths. Starting from September 2010 Jang Keun Suk Fanclub donated 1.55 tons of rice wreaths; KBS Press Conference of “Mary Marry Me” : 1.23 tons in 11/2010; JKS Fan Meeting: 30 kilograms in 1/2011; Busan photography exhibition : 100 kilograms in 3/2011; JKS Cri-show 2.12 tons in 8/2011; Preview of “You are my pet” : 820 kilograms in 11/2011; Press Conference of “Love Rain” : 9.1 tons in 3/2012; JKS Cri-show 2 : 3.6 tons in 7/2012; Tokyo Zikzin Festival : 40 kilograms in 8/2013 – until now a total of 14 times : 34.46 tons of rice wreaths, 2,000 eggs, 2,400 pieces of diapers and 30 cans of powder milk were collected. Moreover, during this period Jang Keun Suk donated 5.85 tons of old clothes to the Salvation Army, 2 tons to the nursery in Seoul, and to various welfare organizations (7.1 tons, 500 kilograms, 600 kilograms, 600 kilograms and 1 ton respectively) totaling 18.69 tons.
