Any fan who likes Jang Keun-suk would have noticed the difference already, right? Right. He gave up his bob-style haircut that he have had since 2009. Is there any change in his mind? Let’s just say that a man trying a change is not guilty. Why did he have his hair cut? The reason was ‘pretty’.
▶ It is Cheongdam-dongn in the afternoon of November 14. More specifically, it is a back alley of Cheongdam-dong.
This back alley is known as ‘Jang Keun-suk Road’ to his fans. He is said to show up on the alley every other day since the beauty salon he frequents is here. It is said that he shows up more frequently these days due to the shooting of the drama series ‘Beautiful Man’.
And a passer-by turned his head toward him.
“Isn’t he Jang Keun-suk?” (passer-by A)
“Yes. Keung Jjang is here”
“This is a Cheongdam-dong runway”
He was Jang Keun-suk indeed. He came alone by ‘Louis Junior’. Do you know ‘Louis’? It is his car that was devastated on Incheon Airport Highway in an accident. He bought the same model and named it ‘Louis Junior’.
He was still a fashionista in his daily lives. Jang Keun-suk wore a black rock chic look that day. He donned black innerwear, a black long coat, and black boots. The point was a hat. He wore a hat indifferently. A part of his hair is seen from the back of his hat.
Jang Keun-suk parked his car and entered the beauty salon. He said hello to the parking attendant. In a broad daylight, he walked around the Cheongdam-dong area with a bright smile on his face even though he is a celebrity. There is no word like ‘self-conscious’ in his dictionary.
Jang Keun-suk entered the beauty salon and four hours passed.
It is Cheongdam-dong again where I met him again. It became dark and rained. And Jang Keun-suk changed. The ’prince-like hair’ that has been familiar to us for the last few years is gone. He changed 180 degrees.
This is his before & after in one day. The clothes are the same but his hairstyle is different. He had the sides of his head coolly shaved. He had his hair dyed red. A hairstyle change made him a whole different man. I mean, a whole different ‘beautiful man’.
Most people feel depressed when they have a short haircut after keeping their long hair for a long time. It was not the case for Jang Keun-suk, however. He could not stop smiling probably out of satisfaction with his changed hair. He took a picture of himself with his mobile and checked it.
“I like this short hair”
“W.O.W”
‘Dispatch’ found another fact that day. Jang Keun-suk did everything on his own. He parked his car by himself at the salon. He ordered coffee at the café. He was busy ordering and paying for the coffee.
“Please add ice to Americano”
“How much is it?”
Jang Keun-suk’s wallet continued to open. After he left the café, he entered a side dish shop next to it. He seems to be preparing side dishes for dinner. Come to think of it, he often uploaded a picture of dinner on his social networking account. The side dishes must have been from this shop.
“Let’s eat! At home~”
“I will buy side dishes”
The clerk is stunned by Jang Keun-suk’s appearance. She started to smile. I covered her mouth to protect her portrait rights. Can you see her eyes keep chasing after Jang Keun-suk every time he moves?

Jang Keun-suk is expecting the premiere of KBS-2TV’s ‘Beautiful Man’. He is going to play a Beautiful Man as the title says. The drama will show how a man grows up by dating with many women. IU and Han Chae-yeong will appear together with him.

I think he looks good. And it just goes to show what a professional Jang Keun Suk is… he becomes whatever the role requires. And when his character goes through a transformation, then it is not unusual for that to result in an outward transformation as well. Jang Keun Suk is a veteran actor and will take advantage of hair, make up and wardrobe to help convey his character’s message to his audience.
While admittedly the story of the manga seems fairly simple. And while most everyone agrees it was a “natural” role for him to play… I look forward to seeing him use his acting skills to bring the 2 dimensional character Dokgo Mate to life.

I have never seen an actor anywhere who changes his hairstyles so many times to suit the transformation of his character in a drama. In Love Rain, he spotted so many styles as Seo Jun.
Now , in Beautiful Man, Sukkie is also going to do a dramatic change to his hairstyle to give a refreshing change to his look, both as his character in BM as well as in real life.
I love both his long and short hair…. he will still look handsome even if he is bald becoz of his natural beauty both inside and out <3

Poor Sukkie, he can never do any thing that would please every one. When he had long hair, many kept complaining and nagging him to CUT his hair. When he cut a little, to middle length, people still said it was not short enough.
Now when he totally CUT it short, many people (I assume same most people who were nagging him for a CUT) are still NOT happy with the result, and some are very disappointed.
Oh my good lord, there is ONLY one Jang Keun Suk in this world…and million people want him to look this ways and that ways…..This can be a problem, isn’t it!!!

Yeah… Nobody can ever please everybody, not even our royal hotness Jang Keun Suk… lol. It’s a pity that some people focus too much on his appearance rather than his work (esp the drama), rite? Anyway, he cut his hair for the drama and hopefully it’ll bring a refreshing look & soul to BM. Can’t wait for the 20th though I’ll barely understand the drama without Eng Sub since my Korean is almost zero :)).
