In a recent episode of SBS’s variety show My Little Old Boy, the visit to Kim Hee Chul‘s house by Lee Hong Gi and Jang Keun Suk stirred up a heartfelt discussion about marriage among the trio, known for their decade-long friendship under the playful moniker “Choco Balls,” an acronym (in Korean) for “a bit psycho but charming the more you see.”
As the tour of Kim Hee Chul’s new abode unfolded, an unexpected find of women’s clothing led to a flurry of jokes about potential matching outfits, with Hee Chul humorously clarifying, “I bought long pants because square-cut briefs are uncomfortable,” a statement that Jang Keun Suk playfully dismissed as “a poor excuse.”
The spotlight then shifted to a large bathtub, with Kim Hee Chul sharing, “I got a big one thinking I’d bathe with my kids in the future,” revealing a keen interest in marriage and family life. Jang Keun Suk echoed this sentiment, expressing a desire to move on to the next phase of his life, “I feel like I’ve reached my limit living as a single; it’s time to cross over to another hurdle.” He added, “It’s about moving beyond just being alone. The desire to build a family, my own sanctuary, my own nest, is a different matter,” he said with a notable seriousness.
When asked about his ideal type, Kim Hee Chul shared, “I had a thing back in the day; the malleolus had to be visible,” revealing his quite unique preference. He then added, “I really hated the Uggs that Lim Soo Jung wore in her drama. It ruined my day if I couldn’t see my girlfriend’s cheekbones.”
Jang Keun Suk added to the conversation, highlighting the pressure of turning forty and his vague desire to become a father before reaching that age. Lee Hong Gi agreed, noting, “Really, it’s about this we latch onto any good person we find. We gotta appreciate anyone who’s into us.”
