Hi, I’m a Japanese eel living in Tokyo.
Wheather Agent JKS was successful or not, I have no idea, to tell you the turth.
I myself enjoyed watching it very much, esp. ep 3 and 4 which were filmed at the place only 30-40 minute-drive away from my house!! I’ve been to the camp site several times, so I got really excited when I found JKS visited there!!
I believe most Japanese eels who watched the show enjoyed it a lot and wanted to watch more episodes. Too bad they aired only 4 eps!! (Actully only 2 stories: each story was divided into 2 eps.)
Fuji TV next (that’s a paid channel operated by Fuji Television Network, Inc. in Japan) introduced the program as the first-ever show with the title “JKS”,
being specialized in him when they started the show, so most of the Japanese eels believed that we could enjoy much more eps than only 4!!
JKS himself expressed his expectation on his own show, saying something like he wanted to go to a countryside in Japan, homestay with a farmer’s family, help eldery people and so on.
Therefore we really got disappointed to find that there were only 4 eps.
As I said earlier the show was on a paid channel, and some eels could not watch it. Some eels subscribed to Fuji TV Next to watch it, and the other watched movies on You Tube, Daily Motion, or whatever which were uploaded illegally.
Fuji TV network moved so quickly and deleted most of the illegally uploaded movies.
I have no idea how much profit Fuji made with the show.
