The lyrics of this song are somewhat confusing, though…
It’s a story about how we all have one true love in ones’ life and how we must loose them in order to understand that he/she was our true soul mate…
However, she also sings about how lonely it is to be in such kind of love which is the thing I don’t quite agree on… If the love is real and true, even if it doesn’t work out in the end, it HAS to be two sided and it certainly isn’t lonely while it lasts… Otherwise, it’s not a true love but rather ones’ illusion of love… And in that case it can be very lonely.
Maybe that is the point of the lyrics… Maybe the lady sings about one sided love and she wonders how something like that could’ve happen… But, like I mentioned, it’s not a true love if it’s one sided only. For the true love you need both sides to be very much involved and create that special, once in a lifetime, bond (kizuna!) and unity.
I don’t wanna diminish the strong feelings of the people who are in one sided type of love but it is a fact that it is not the ‘special one’ if it’s not both sided.
I guess, JKS was confused about this (or something similar) as well and therefore his comment…
Sorry about my ranting here guys… I LOVE analyzing lyrics of the songs, especially songs that are beautiful like this one 🙂
when 2 persons are truly in love, but due to circumstances they parted, during this period, both parties will feel depress and lonely, someone you spent happy times and hard times with is gone, it will take a while to get use to it, perhaps that is what the song is all about, perhaps, Sukkie is not in the mind of thinking at the moment, that’s why he is confused. Nevertheless, is a beautiful song, and I think he feels it
