With the Korean drama remake of “Suits” coming up on April 25 at 10 p.m. KST, SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch” will be facing some competition in viewership ratings.
During a press conference for “Switch,” Jang Geun Suk was asked how he felt about the two dramas going head-to-head in the same time slot.
“These two dramas have different genres, so I don’t worry about how it will turn out. The broadcasting station might hate me [for saying this], but I don’t even have time to worry about competing dramas because I focus on my own. I try my best not to lose sight of my character. I don’t think I feel any burden [in regards to competition],” he expressed.
Jang Geun Suk also talked about the fairly low viewership ratings for “Switch,” saying, “I think it’s dangerous to be emotionally affected by numbers. Of course high viewership ratings can give us more energy, but I don’t think the actors and atmosphere on set should be affected by low viewership ratings. It does not have an effect on our teamwork. It would be nice if the viewership ratings were in double digits, but we’re still having fun with filming right now.”
