Actor Jang Keun Suk’s such teeth-clenching acting, nothing can stop him, not even the poisonous snake right in front of him.
On the 11th, SBS “Daebak” production team revealed a scene where Jang Keun Suk was biting a poisonous snake, conveying his enthusiastic passion in acting. However there were some missing details in the earlier report, such as, if the snake was real, and how the filming was done.
As such, Star News personally sought further confirmation from the vested parties, enquiring how the scene of Jang Keun Suk biting the snake was done.
Firstly, the snake which Jang Keun Suk was biting is real, and in fact is poisonous. Prior to filming Daebak, the production team had given him the heads up of the many tough scenes in Daebak for this character, including the poisonous snake scene. Jang Keun Suk still went ahead to accept the role.
The filming of this scene was done in an intense atmosphere. In consideration of his safety, the fangs of the snake had been removed. That was a scene from the drama where Daegil (Jang Keun Suk) grabbed a snake from the tree and bite on it.
When the tape started rolling, Jang Keun Suk, without hesitation, grabbed the snake and gave a bite. The snake skin was harder than expected and he had to give a harder bite to break the snake.
All the crews were holding their breath while watching the filming, everyone was tensed seeing Jang Keun Suk having to bite the snake with his bare mouth, when the filming was successfully completed, everyone gave a standing ovation. As this scene requires shots from several angles, Jang Keun Suk was required to repeat biting on the snake several times. Even so, his expressions never swayed. After filming, he assured saying “it’s ok”.
A person who was present at the scene then told Star News, “Once again impressed by Jang Keun Suk’s acting. It was beyond imagination for him to be able to bite the snake without any hesitation, and without a single NG.” He was amazed by his acting.
Jang Keun Suk is currently traveling back and forth from the filming site for “Daebak”, it is estimated he probably get less than a day’s sleep in a week, and the filming is currently in full force.
3 dramas are concurrently showing on Mon-Tue. How will such selfless passionate acting of Jang Keun Suk impacts the audience’s anticipation for “Daebak”?
