On January 9, Jang Keun Suk attended the press conference for tvN’s Three Meals – Fishing Village Special at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Gangnam-gu and confessed that he began looking shabby while living in the fishing village.
The preview video for Three Meals – Fishing Village Special revealed on this day showed Cha Seung Won, Yu Hae Jin, and Jang Keun Suk looking unkempt, dripping with dirt and sweat.
When MC Park Ji Yoon asked, “Would it be okay if you, ‘Asia’s Prince,’ looked like that on broadcast?’” Jang Keun Suk answered, “So I would like to ask my fans to not watch it.”

Na Young Seok PD revealed that he tricked Jang Keun Suk to cast him for the show.
Na Young Seok PD attended the press conference for tvN’s Three Meals – Fishing Village Special on January 9 at the Imperial Palace Hotel and shared the story behind casting Cha Seung Won, Yu Hae Jin, and Jang Keun Suk.
Na Young Seok PD said, “I thought that if it’s possible in a village in the mountains, it’s also possible to gather a suffiecient amount of food from a fishing village. Cha Seung Won has a very profound knowledge of food. Unlike Lee Seo Jin and Ok Taecyeon, who can’t cook very well, I thought it was okay to bring in someone who is good at cooking for the fishing village special. I sent him a love call, thinking that he is perfect for the role.”
He continued, “Next, I’ve wanted to cast Yu Hae Jin since he came out on One Night Two Days. So I also sent him a love call. He is someone who adapts very well to the wild environment and enjoys it.”
