[sports donga] Actor Jang Keun Suk expressed his respect to seniors Choi Min Soo and Jun Kwang Ryul who are working with him in the SBS drama ‘Jackpot’ (Royal Gambler).

He said: “I am very happy to be able to work with seniors whom I have always respected. They are superb actors, and at the beginning I was very scared, I felt that they would be hard to get close to. Instead, they are just like actors who are my own age. We would talk about things that men like such as travel etc.”

Jang Keun Suk has especially formed a deep friendship with Jun Kwang Ryul, the two would discuss the script even after filming. Jang Keun Suk said: “I will still see the seniors often after the drama finishes. The drama team will even visit the places which senior Jun Kwang Ryul has recommended.”

  1. How nice of Sukkie to express his respect and gratitude to his senior co actors. I am sure he has learned a lot of acting techniques from them, Those two were superb in acting out their roles.

  3. Wonderful translation. I’m not at all surprised that Suk is eager to learn from experienced actors, and I suspect that the seniors see and respect how very serious Suk is about his craft. I really love how he so freely voices his appreciation for the opportunity to work with and learn from his colleagues.
