  1. That stupid stupid man! I was so annoyed with Bak Man Geum! But I too doubt if Daegil is the king’s baby. 6 months and perfectly healthy for a premature?

  4. Thanks Tenshi for your review of episode 2…I never thought about the gambling in that way…but someone as Bank Man gem is quite familiar to me…these people don’t see the longterm consequences of their words nor actions..
I love the music and the cinematography of Deabak..the beginning when Sojong was walking like a real king to the private chamber to claim his prize while Baek Man Geum was frantically pounding on the palace door was a huge turn in the whole history….
The baby is very well chosen for this role..he is very cute yet very strong looking
Cannot wait to see the grown up version because the spoiler for episode 3 is killing

Like back then was very hard and sacrificing lives was like an everyday thing…

  6. Suk says in one of the interviews that Daegil goes throught a lot of hardship, but keeps surviving. I remembered that watching this episode. Baby Daegil gets hit with an arrow, gets trown from a height… they try to take his life several times, but he keeps surviving. And I imagine it´s just a start.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts,Tenshi! I´ve really enjoyed Daebak from the first moment, love the story, the music, the atmosphere, …and I´m really looking forward to see more of Suk.

  7. The music is great. The bamboo scene was superb. But felt bad for Yi-soo. He is a good actor. But our “baby prince” is a superhero indeed. Its too hard to wait for 3rd ep. It will be our prince’s day. Very excited to see sukkie’s gambling. Unlike Man geum he will be No. 1.

  9. Thanks for the great review, Tenshi! Even without JKS in the episode I still kept feeling his presence there. Every time I looked at the baby, I felt like it was our AP! Haha, funny how well they chose- that baby really looks like baby Suk!

  10. I’ve been reviewing this series on my youtube channel and when baek man geum threw poor baby Daegil off the top of the waterfall I was in such disbelief how much can one baby endure. All though it appears that the king won and then baek man ge um the real winner is actually Yi In Ja because he has this big plot going on he is the puppet mas tree r pulling all strings. He has such a great line that foreshadows Daegils life and his intentions for him.
